American actress Emily Mallory Procter was born on October 8, 1968. She was Ainsley Hayes's character on The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 and 2006), and Det. Calleigh Duquesne, CBS's police procedural drama CSI: Miami 2002-2012



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on 8 October in 1968. As an infant, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was just three years of age when her parents divorced. Whit, her older brother, is also adopted.



 



 Procter attended Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While she was at East Carolina University, she became a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was a weather anchor at WNCT-TV , in Greenville, North Carolina, eventually graduating with degrees in dance and journalism.
