Milena Govich

 Milena Govich (Serbian born on the 29th of October, 1976) is an American actress and director, as well as a singer as well as a dancer who is best known for her character NYPD Detective Nina Cassady on the television series Law & Order.

 

 Education and early childhood

 Govich was born Norman, Cleveland County in Oklahoma. The late Dr. Bruce Michael Govich who died in 1998 and Dr. Marilyn Green Govich[2] were her parents. Marilyn currently teaches voice and Bruce worked as a professor at the University of Oklahoma. Her father was Serbian and her mother has Scottish and English heritage. Milica Govich is her aunt. She has appeared on television, film as well as Broadway.

 

 Milena was the valedictorian of Norman High School's 1995 class. Following the example of her academic parents and completing her studies at the University of Central Oklahoma as valedictorian. This time, she received a double degree in premedical and performance sciences, as well as a minor on dancing and violin. Govich at the time of her graduation relocated to New York City in pursuit of acting opportunities.
