She recently directed her first film alongside Nicole C. Mullen in the film THE GOD WHO SEES. Together, they co-wrote music for the movie. Gifford is a supporter of many organizations for children, such as Childhelp or the Association to Benefit Children. Cassidy's Place and Cody House were named in honor of her two daughters. Marymount University awarded her honorary degrees for humanitarian work she carried out in labor relations.
